Community Access Western Sydney (CAWS) is in its 39th year of operation. Our disability programs are underpinned by our commitment to advocacy for people with a disability. We want to add to our professional team with a Marketing and Communications Officer who will assist us to grow our business and communicate the amazing work that we do in the industry.  

MARKETING AND COMMUNICATIONS OFFICER

CAWS is seeking a Marketing and Communications Officer to promote our brand to people living with disability & the disability sector.

The Marketing and Communications Officer will lead the development and implementation of the marketing and communications strategies for CAWS. Working closely with the CAWS Manager you will develop, implement and evaluate a marketing plan that incorporates brand, marketing and communications strategies to ensure that our good work is known in the industry.

The person in this role will have a qualification in Marketing or Communication and experience in a similar role, preference will be given to those that have had experiencing working in the not for profit or disability sectors. 

You will have high level knowledge of the digital marketing space and competency using marketing software and Microsoft office tools. Your communication skills will be excellent and you will have an analytical way of thinking with attention to detail.

This position is 30 hours per week on a one year contract initially, it will be a requirement of the role that you obtain the additional business to support the role into the future.

CAWS is committed to a good work life balance for employees, initially the role will be located at Lalor Park but as you settle in you will be able to negotiate work hours to suit your lifestyle and your work location may be negotiable with the opportunity to work at either Lalor Park or Harrington Park and the possibility of working some hours at home.

ADMINISTRATION ASSISTANT

CAWS is seeking a professional administration assistant to support CAWS staff by providing basic administrative support and assistance. As a valued member of the team, you will provide support with the general day to day administrative tasks that support, streamline, and further strengthen CAWS Programs and the business operations of CAWS.

The position is situated at the Lalor Park Community Hub on Heffron Road, Lalor Park and will be required to work 5 days a week for four hours each day. The successful applicant will report to the Finance & Administration Officer.

To be successful in this role you will have a high level of literacy, experience working in an office environment and have good communication skills. It is essential that you are competent with Microsoft Office and generally have good computer skills.

This role will be the first point of contact for people contacting CAWS and so you will need a cheerful and sensitive nature with a good telephone manner.
